The compact and dispersed urban growth models of Bogotá have redefined its city outlines in the last 20 years, giving way to a production of urban space based on closed forms that have not been able to articulate with each other. The following research study has pointed out the importance of advancing in the comprehensive understanding of the production of urban space, through the analysis of the physical form, perceived and represented, being an integral part to deepen the study of urban transformations. The study of morphology is essential to understand the physical space-temporal structures left by the growth of the city, but it is also an integral part of understanding the relationship of the inhabitants with the form. Since ultimately society is the one that receives information about changes in urban space, and at the same time participates in shaping it through its experiences and meanings.

Los modelos de crecimiento urbano compactos y dispersos de Bogotá, redefinieron sus esbozos de ciudad en los últimos 20 años, para dar paso a una producción del espacio urbano basado en formas cerradas que no han logrado articularse entre ellas.\nEl siguiente estudio de investigación, ha señalado la importancia de avanzar en la comprensión integral de la producción del espacio urbano, a través del análisis de la forma física, percibida y representada, siendo parte integral para profundizar el estudio de las transformaciones urbanas.\nEl estudio de la morfología es sustancial para entender las estructuras físicas espacio-temporales que deja el crecimiento de la ciudad, pero también, es parte integral para entender la relación de los habitantes con la forma. Puesto que finalmente la sociedad es la que recibe información de los cambios del espacio urbano, y al mismo tiempo participa en la conformación de este a través de sus experiencias y significados.
