This thesis seeks to enlighten the political power of images, about their capacities (and their limitations) at a rebelius time against the representations of power, and to highlight the modalities of iconic display of bodies at a time when they are 'nomadic'. This general purpose takes shape in a partial aspect of the matter: the graphic ways in which LGBTQ+ collectives had used images, in the period 2000-2020, to pose strategies of self-figuration. We contemplate that the identity figurations of the LGTBQ+ collectives had not followed a linear process, but rather that they put on display tensions and detentes of two types: those inherent to the image in its current and historical dimensions and those of the particular character of the studied collective in which, unlike other collectives, there is no previous social group, nor previous community, genealogical, to the fact of its grouping. The thesis identifies, in an expanded constellation, the bipolar effects of the representation/figuration pair, pointing out the moments of rupture that bridge the gap between two worlds, the figurative one that pulsates and hatches and the one of the dominant images that repeats and stereotype. In order to reach these conclusions, three traces of memory are traced: historical survivals, individual memory and the particular memory with which the collective identifies itself.

Esta tesis busca echar luz sobre la fuerza política de las imágenes, sobre su capacidad (y sus límites) a la hora de rebelarse contra las representaciones del poder y poner en evidencia las modalidades de mostración icónica de los cuerpos en un momento en que los mismos son 'nómades'. Este propósito general toma forma en un aspecto parcial de la cuestión: los modos gráficos en que los colectivos LGBTQ+ han usado las imágenes, en el período 2000-2020, para plantear estrategias de figuración de sí. Planteamos que las figuraciones identitarias de los colectivos LGTBQ+ no han seguido un proceso lineal, sino que ponen en evidencia tensiones y distensiones de dos tipos: las propias de la imagen en sus dimensiones actual e histórica y las del carácter particular del colectivo estudiado en el que, a diferencia de otros colectivos, no existe grupo social previo, ni comunidad anterior, genealógica, al hecho de su agrupación. La tesis identifica en una constelación expandida, los efectos bipolares del par representación/figuración señalando los momentos de ruptura que tienden un puente entre dos mundos, el figurado que late y eclosiona y el de las imágenes dominantes que repite y estereotipa. Para llegar a estas conclusiones se recorren tres rastros de la memoria: las supervivencias históricas, la memoria individual y la memoria particular con la que se identifica el colectivo.
